Rashmika Mandanna to team up with Salman Khan for Sikandar
They say history cannot be repeated. But the stunning actress Rashmika Mandanna seemed to have proved them wrong and how. She stormed the box office with the film Pushpa (Part 1), a film which created a storm at the box office. Rashmika, then, followed up the success with the Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol starrer Animal, a film that created nothing less than a volcano at the box office. It now seems that the actress is all set to create a hat trick of mega hits with ‘Sikandar’, which has Salman Khan as the main lead.
As per a source-based report in Pinkvilla, it was stated that, ‘Sajid Nadiadwala was on the lookout for a fresh pairing (for Sikandar) as the script demanded the same at the writing level and that, when narrated the subject to Rashmika Mandanna, she was excited by her role in the film and also the overall approach of AR Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala when it came to mounting the film.
The report further stated that, the said film (Sikandar) was a lot more than just being an action film, wherein there will be a strong story which eventually will result in an outflow of drama and emotions. And that it was the ‘wholesomeness of the film’s script’, which formed the key factor for both Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna to give their nod to the film. As far as the film’s going on floors is concerned, it has been said that it will happen in the month of June.
The aforementioned news got confirmed when Nadiadwala Grandson's social media handle uploaded a welcome post for Rashmika Mandanna. They wrote, ‘Welcoming the fabulous @rashmika_mandanna to star opposite @beingsalmankhan in #Sikandar! Can’t wait for their on-screen magic to unfold on EID 2025! #SajidNadiadwala’s #Sikandar Directed by @a.r.murugadoss Releasing in cinemas EID 2025 @wardakhannadiadwala #SikandarEid2025’.
On her part, Rashmika Mandanna took to social media and posted a heartfelt note. She wrote, ‘You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is..Surprise!! I am truly grateful and honoured to be a part of #Sikandar #SajidNadiadwala @BeingSalmanKhan @ARMurugadoss @NGEmovies @WardaNadiadwala Releasing in cinemas on EID 2025! #RM25’
The film Sikandar is definitely special and significant in many ways than one. While on one hand, the film marks the reunion of the super successful producer-actor jodi of Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan, and, on the other hand, the film also marks the first time pairing of Salman Khan with Rashmika Mandanna. What needs to be noted here is that, both the actors have a massive fan following all across, which will surely work as a key factor for the film. As for the film’s music, the aforementioned report stated that it will be composed by Pritam.
