Investigation Discovery's docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV delves into the troubling allegations made against former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck. Premiering on March 17, the four-part series features interviews with former cast members and crew, shedding light on the alleged toxic and abusive behavior that occurred behind the scenes of their popular shows.

Among those interviewed is Drake & Josh star Drake Bell, who alleges that Peck repeatedly molested him during his childhood. In connection with Bell's case, Peck pleaded no contest in 2004 to a charge of oral copulation with a minor under 16, as well as a charge of performing a lewd act with a 14- or 15-year-old. Peck was sentenced to 16 months in prison and was required to register as a sex offender.

    From Actor to Allegations

Peck began his career in the entertainment industry as an actor, with roles in '80s films like Return of the Living Dead and the well-known sitcom Growing Pains, where he served as a body double for Alan Thicke. He later appeared as Pickle Boy on All That before transitioning to become a dialogue coach, working on various Nickelodeon projects.

    Brian Peck's Arrest

On August 19, 2003, Peck was arrested on 11 counts, including lewd acts with a minor. The LAPD stated that these acts occurred approximately two years prior at Peck's residence while he was coaching them. However, the victim's name was not disclosed at the time; it was later revealed to be Bell.

In 2004, Peck entered a plea of no contest to two of the 11 charges against him: oral copulation with a minor under 16 and performing a lewd act with a 14- or 15-year-old. Subsequently, he was sentenced to 16 months in prison and was required to register as a sex offender.
