Aranmanai 4 box office collection Day 4: Sundar C’s horror comedy soars high; set to cross this milestone

Tamil cinema fans have been loving the new Sundar C directorial horror comedy Aranmanai 4! And the record-breaking collections are proof of its massive success. The movie, which released on May 3, has been raking in profits at the box office. Despite critical reviews, the general audience enjoyed the new commercial entertainer, and thus the film continues to perform well at the box office. Here's how much the horror drama, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, collected on Day 4 of its release: 

Aranmanai 4 mints close to Rs 25 crore

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the fourth instalment of the Tamil horror series continues to rake in profits. Aranmanai 4 earned approximately Rs 3 crore on its fourth day across all states in India, bringing its gross collection to Rs 22.15 crore. Reports reveal that the film had an average Tamil occupancy of 27.70%, while the Telugu version Baak enjoyed an occupancy of 16.64% on its fourth day. With the film inching towards the Rs 25-crore milestone soon, the movie has been declared a blockbuster hit. The delayed release seems to have worked out for the movie and it is making the most of being a solo commercial release.

Vijay Varma in awe of Tamannaah’s performance in the horror comedy

Meanwhile, Bollywood actor and beau of Tamannaah, Vijay Varma expressed happiness over his girlfriend's film doing well at the box office. The Darlings actor took to Instagram stories to give a big shoutout to Tamannaah. “Congratulations on the fabulous response, @tamannaahspeaks! Keep killing it,” he wrote. Tamannaah quickly reciprocated the love and re-shared the story with three red heart emojis. Their online PDA is a much-discussed topic among netizens.

Will Sundar C revive the horror-comedy series with another instalment?

Now that the fourth instalment of Aranmanai series has been declared a hit, Sundar C might be gearing up to reap the benefit of its success with a new instalment. For the unversed, the director-actor had earlier revealed that Aranmanai 5’s destiny depended on the success of the latest outing. Hence, fans can expect an announcement on the same very soon!  

Headlined by Tamannaah Bhatia, Aranmanai 4 centres around a family that moves into a haunted bungalow. The horror comedy has Sundar C’s character, who is a lawyer from Chennai. His sister is played by Tamannaah, who, along with her family, shifts to the eerie bungalow. However, after her husband dies under mysterious circumstances, she too dies by suicide, and it is up to Sundar C's character to unravel the mystery surrounding their deaths.
