Ajith Kumar, Vijay to observe fast today

The inhuman genocide of Sri Lankan Tamils has created uproar in the entire country and the Tamil film industry has also reacted strictly to the heartbreaking incident. The film fraternity has decided to go on a day-long hunger-strike today against the brutality. Some of the biggies of the T-town like Filmfare Award winning actor Ajith Kumar and State Film Award winning actor Vijay have confirmed that they would join the demonstration.

Earlier on March 19, the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association (TANTIS) and Film Employees' Federation of South India (FEFSI) organized a day-long fasting event. The Nadigar Sangam, also known as South Indian Film Artistes' Association (SIFAA) will also join the fast today. According to sources, actors who couldn't make it last time have postponed shooting to join the fast.
