Met Gala 2024: Alia Bhatt's look has a connection with Deepika Padukone's old look by Sabyasachi?
After Alia Bhatt posted a bunch of photographs from her Met gala, a Reddit user was quick to point out the connection of her photos with that of Deepika Padukone at Met Gala

Whenever one talks about the Met Gala, one is always reminded of fashion, design and trend! This year’s Met Gala (2024) was no different. Many of the designers showcased their collections of their respective muses. As for the ace designer Sabyasachi, it was Alia Bhatt who was seen wearing his design, which was immensely appreciated by many all across.
Amidst the ‘gala’ of appreciation, there was a user on Reddit who pointed out something unique and also a bit surprising! The user pointed out that the Sabyasachi design which was carried off by Alia Bhatt had a strange connection with that of Deepika Padukone when she had been to the Met Gala (last year, 2023 it was).
The said user posted both the actresses (Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone), both wearing the creations of Sabyasachi and captioned the same as, ‘Sabyasachi has to stop copy pasting his old looks’. In no time, the social media was on fire with users stepping forward to give their opinions about the same.
While one user wrote, ‘I feel this one matches more. The border of both the sarees is ditto the same and so does the pattern of the flowers. The color is different and the golden shimmery latkan or whatever which looked so out of place, now know why’, there was another who wrote, ‘Alia should have opted for GG or RM, sabyas designs are so repetitive it sore to the eyes now’.
Another user wrote, ‘Sabya’s saree is beautiful and Alia looks gorgeous but that’s not a MET look. Also maybe should have gone with Rahul Mishra instead, he would have nailed this theme’. The train for this was a perfect length! Alia's is a little too long especially for someone her height... doesn't feel like a part of the outfit’.
