    Robert Downey Jr. clinched the Best Supporting Actor in a Movie award at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday night. Amidst an awards season marked by his comedic acceptance speeches, he took a moment to pay tribute to fellow actors who have inspired him over the years.

    Downey Jr. faced nominations alongside Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction), Willem Dafoe (Poor Things), Robert De Niro (Killers of the Flower Moon), and Ryan Gosling (Barbie).

    During his speech, the actor humorously remarked that he'd never tire of his own voice, then proceeded to list the names of several actors who have inspired him, including Teri Garr, James Spader, Anthony Michael Hall, Mel Gibson, Whoopi Goldberg, Alfre Woodard, Woody Harrelson, Holly Hunter, Kenneth Branagh, and Jodie Foster.
