Garudan release date: Here’s when Soori’s film will hit the big screens..

Tamil actor Soori is all set to appear in the upcoming film Garudan. The filmmakers recently took to their social media handles to share the release date annoucement video. The announcement video featured a montage of the lead actors– Soori, Unni Mukundan and Sasikumar who all appear to be essaying intense roles in this action flick. The makers also announced that film will be releasing in theatres on May 31, 2024.

"Soaring into theaters May 31st! Mark your calendars for #Garudan. More updates coming soon," read the caption under the new announcement poster. The poster features leading man Soori with an intense expression.

Directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar, the upcoming film also features Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan in key roles. The first glimpse of the film, which was released earlier, showcases Soori playing the role of a henchman to Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan’s characters. Touted to be an action entertainer, the film is yet another collaboration between Soori and director Vetrimaaran after Viduthalai.

Besides the lead cast, the film also features Sshivada, Revathi Sharma, Roshini Haripriyan, Samuthirakani, Motta Rajendran, and Mime Gopi in key roles. On the technical front, the film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with Arthur A. Wilson handling cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav handling the edits. G. Durairaj is the film's art director.

Soori's other projects

Besides Garudan, Soori will also appear in the second part of Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai, which is yet to be schedule a release date. He will also star in Kottukkaali alongside Malayalam actor Anna Ben. The film is directed by P.S. Vinothraj, who made the critically acclaimed Koozhangal. Soori will also star in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, directed by Ram, which features Nivin Pauly and Anjali in lead roles.
