Telugu actor Nara Rohith is all set to present Prathinidhi 2 on big screens. After several postponements, the makers have finally cleared the censor formalities to schedule the release of the film on May 10. Notably, the makers have cleverly chosen the release date of the political thriller film, it is just three days before the Andhra Pradesh elections. Prathinidhi 2 is the sequel of Nara Rohith’s 2014 blockbuster film Prathinidhi.

What is Prathinidhi 2 set to narrate?

Directed by Murthy Devagupthapu, Prathinidhi 2 is a political thriller, headlined by Nara Rohith. From the teaser, it is understood that the movie is about a journalist who is on a mission to take down corrupt politicians. The teaser ends with a powerful monologue, calling upon the common people to make an informed decision when choosing their leaders. The film had initially faced hurdles with its censorship formalities. Reports suggest that the censoring process for the film, which opposes the YCP government, had been deliberately delayed by Chief Minister Jagan and his team. They wanted to avoid portraying the TDP party in a positive light. For the unversed, Nara Rohith is the nephew of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He’s the son of the ex-CM's brother, Nara Ramamurthy Naidu.

Unlike his family, Rohith ventured into the film field and is widely known for his breakthrough role in the film, Baanam. The actor has consistently impressed audiences with his distinct film choices, including Prathinidhi, Jyo Achyutananda, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, Solo, Asura, and Shamantakamani. He took a short break from movies for personal reasons and has now returned with a sequel to one of his most hyped films, Prathinidhi.
