    The popular singing reality show Indian Idol 14 has gotten its winner in contestant Vaibhav Gupta. The Kanpur-based boy emerged as one of the most promising contenders on the show and much to the happiness of his fans, has now lifted the winning trophy. The show had Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Kumar Sanu as the judges and had Sonu Nigam as the special guest for the grand finale.

    Talking about the same, Vaibhav won the winning trophy along with a cash prize of a whopping Rs 25 lakh. He also won a luxury car along with these. He defeated the other finalists which included Anjana Padmanabhan, Ananya Pal, Piyush Panwar, Subhadeep Das, and Adya Mishra to win the show. Born on August 15, 1997, Vaibhav hails from Kanpur and is the son of Rakesh Gupta who is also a music teacher and a renowned singer. His mother is a homemaker and he has a brother who is also a singer and a guitarist.

    Vaibhav started learning music from a very young age from his father and participated in many competitions. Gupta started performing in many events and shows across the country, thus getting noticed for his exceptional talent. He completed his schooling at the Mantora Public School in Kanpur and attended college at Christ Church College. He passed out with distinction and also received a gold medal for his academic excellence. He started participating in several inter-college singing competitions and won several awards and accolades.

    Gupta holds a diploma in music from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti in Allahabad. Before Indian Idol 14, he had participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs in 2013. He came in the top 10 on the show. In his latest interview with a publication, Vaibhav expresses his desire to open his studio with his winning prize money. Furthermore, he also wishes to enter the playback singing sphere in Bollywood. Vaibhav wishes to specifically sing for actors like Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Vicky Kaushal.
